What We Do
Hill Country Wool partners with independent fiber producers, dyers, yarn businesses, and retailers to transform raw fiber into consistent, high-quality finished products—and to supply reliable wholesale fiber goods for further production and sale.
From initial intake through scouring, carding, and processing into sliver, roving, or yarn, our work is centered on reliability and clarity at every stage. For partners sourcing wholesale materials, we apply the same standards to ensure that each product—whether undyed yarn, prepared fiber, or finished goods—meets expectations for consistency, quality, and repeatability.
We understand that each batch represents not only raw material, but time, care, and often a brand’s reputation. For producers, that may mean bringing a year’s clip to market. For dyers and retailers, it means having dependable materials that support their own customers and collections.
Our goal is to provide a steady, dependable process and supply that allows our partners to focus on their craft, their customers, and their growth. Whether working with small-batch fiber, supporting ongoing production runs, or fulfilling wholesale orders, we approach each project with attention to detail and a commitment to long-term collaboration.
Who We Serve
We work with businesses and producers who value quality, consistency, and transparency in their fiber supply chain.
Our partners include independent dyers developing signature colorways, yarn shops seeking reliable sources for finished goods, and fiber producers looking to bring their raw material to market. We also support small and growing brands as they scale production, offering a path from initial batches to more consistent output over time.
In each case, our role is to provide a dependable foundation—so that the finished product reflects the standards our partners have worked to build.
A Modern Mill in the Hill Country
Based in Ingram, Texas, Hill Country Wool is rooted in the long-standing tradition of fiber production in the Hill Country. This region has supported generations of ranchers, shearers, and fiber artisans, and that history informs the way we approach our work.
At the same time, we are building a modern mill designed to meet the needs of today’s fiber community. That includes not only fiber processing, but also the production and supply of wholesale fiber products for yarn shops, independent dyers, and retail partners.
Our wholesale work is structured to support consistency at scale—whether supplying undyed yarn for dye studios, finished goods for retail shelves, or fiber products ready for further transformation. We recognize that for many of our partners, reliability in supply is just as important as quality, and we approach both with equal care.
Clear communication, consistent processes, and predictable outcomes are central to how we operate. From initial inquiry through delivery, our goal is to provide a level of transparency and dependability that allows our partners to plan, produce, and grow with confidence.
By combining regional heritage with a forward-looking approach, we aim to create a mill that serves as a trusted partner for fiber businesses at every stage—from raw material to finished product—and as part of a broader effort to strengthen the fiber ecosystem in this region.
